Give Back to the Plainville Fire Department

Sep 23, 2019

Midland Marketing and CHS proudly give back to the Plainville Fire Department

Midland Marketing announced today a $10,000 grant to The Plainville Fire Department. The funds will support the purchase of new Rescue Jack Stands. With these funds the fire department has been able to purchase a new set of jack stands. These are a vital piece of equipment necessary for our rural communities. These jacks will have the capability to lift 6000 pounds each. These will be available to lift not only cars and pickups but also for the ag community for Anhydrous tanks, trucks, trailers, combines, and many things that we work with every day.
“We’re proud to support this project as a way to strengthen the community and see it thrive,” says General Manager Kevin Royer. “Projects like this are essential to enriching our rural area and the people who live here.”
In addition to the funds contributed by Midland Marketing, the contribution was matched dollar for dollar by a CHS Seeds for Stewardship grant, which helps cooperatives grow their impact locally and give them the opportunity to help fund these necessary projects in our rural communities.
“Cooperatives were founded on the principles of education, community involvement and cooperation,” says Kevin Royer, General Manager of Midland Marketing. “By combining resources, we are providing double the impact to our area and demonstrating the cooperative spirit.”

"We want to thank Midland Marketing and CHS for awarding our fire department a grant that enabled us to purchase some rescue jacks. These jacks will be an upgrade to our current equipment, which will allow us to work in a more stable environment while performing a rescue." Commented Justin Casey with the Plainville Fire Department
